Another example of our work using the embedded researcher model is in partnership with Haringey Council where we are evaluating the impact of co-locating welfare advice “hubs” offering financial and other non-clinical advice in General Practice.
Our researcher Dr Charlotte Woodhead is working alongside Haringey Council staff and officers investigating if having welfare advice in GP surgeries improves mental health and reduces how often patients visit their GP with financial and social issues.
