CLAHRC Seminar: The Role of Boards in Quality Improvement

We invited 40 Board members and leaders to an event on the Role of Boards in Quality Improvement (QI), to hear about the characteristics of Boards who successfully implement QI strategies and the early findings from our project researching Implementation and evaluation of a research-based guide for NHS boards to develop their quality improvement strategies – the iQUASER study.

Tim Melville-Ross CBE, Chair, Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust chaired the event.Speakers were Professor Naomi Fulop, Principal Investigator for the iQUASER project who presented progress so far, and our keynote was Professor Naomi Chambers Professor of Healthcare Management at the Alliance Manchester Business School University of Manchester of who gave an overview of ideas and evidence around characteristics of effective board working for quality improvement in healthcare.
